Winter Road Conditions - Last Updated Friday, Nov 19, 5:32pm
Tioga Road (Hwy 120)- CLOSED
Sonora Pass (Hwy 108)- CLOSED
Ebbets Pass (Hwy 4)- CLOSED
Monitor Pass (Hwy 89)- CLOSED
According to the CalTrans the Tioga Road (Hwy 120) has closed due to snowfall from Crane Flat to Hwy 395, closing off access to the Yosemite High Country and a key route across the High Sierra. The Sonora Pass has also closed. Both passes are likely to remain closed for the season and colder weather and more persistent storms begin to blanket the Sierra Nevada.
The lower elevation Ebbets Pass remains open without delays. Monitor Pass is also open but experiencing delays.
Last year the Tioga Road closed permanently on November 11th which is roughly the average closing date for this decade. Both the Tioga Pass & Sonora Pass closed on October 4th this year due to "inclement weather" but reopened several days later.
