Congratulations, your San Francisco Giants are World Series champions for the first time in 52 years. I was very impressed by the fans who came out and put on a show in AT&T park. Those who know me well, know I am a diehard Boston Red Sox fan (and Yankee hater) but having grown up with Will Clark and Matt Williams I couldn't help but get swept away in the euphoria of the Giants 2010 World Series run.
Nearly ever on-air personality noted how beautiful the park was and lavished glowing praise on it. What they missed of course, and that which is known well to hikers in the Bay Area, are all the other beautiful landmarks throughout the bay area from summits to the beaches preserved by the hard work of our local agencies and non-profits.
With November being a good month to be thankful for things, let's remind ourselves how lucky we are to live in a place as beautiful as the Bay Area.
See you at the Parade!
