I was recently turned on to a fairly cool new sports and outdoors gear website. Hypespec has some seriously nice design and presentation. Each product blurb takes only a minute or so to read so they've set up a nice easy way to digest information on new stuff if you're interested on such things.
Now! On to the reading list!
Outdoors
- Outdoor Women's Alliance posted a monster winter gear review for ladies.
- Tom Stienstra at SFGate dropped some knowledge on where to find wildflowers in the Bay Area in this remarkably poor year for them.
- Runblogger posted a very nice review of the Saucony's new zero drop running shoe the Virrata. Looks like a great running shoe from one of my favorite manufacturers.
- OP Adventure Team posted a huge interview with all of the So Cal outdoor bloggers.
- Keith Foskett shares his knowledge on how to get a sponsorship.
- Winehiker explains how to set group expectations
Inspiration
- Gambel Oak Leaves in Capitol Reef State Park by G. Dan Mitchell.
- Sunset in Sedona by Wilderness Dave.
Torres Del Paine - Magallanes. Chile. from Imaginario Colectivo on Vimeo.
Random Stuff
- EBRPD's Quarry Lake banned lead tackle. Good news for water quality.
- KQED covered The Feed Zone Cookbook, fast food for cyclists.
- AdWeek has a nice breakdown of the demographics of social media.
- The MROSD launched a public engagement effort - Imagine the Future of Open Space.
- Arrested Development finally has a release day. May 26th, 2013.
- Just a Colorado Gal dealt with the theft of one of her posts. Lame.
Chris, thank you for the shout-out! I'd enjoy having you and Beylah join me on the trail this year (maybe G. Dan Mitchell can join us). No doubt we've got great stories to share!
